A swapped suitcase at the airport leaves a woman in the custody of Vincenzo Caruso, a ruthless Mafia boss whose bag is filled with guns and cash.
He holds her captive, and their time in bed leaves her pregnant with a baby he has not yet discovered.
Dragged to her ex's wedding, she becomes the woman the press believes is his, and Vincenzo says the ruse will protect his empire and keep her alive.
She fights the pull between them, but the arrangement he calls temporary keeps closing every path away from him.
When he learns she is carrying his child, escape will no longer exist.
