Henry Angelini’s assignment is simple: move to Silver Spring, MD, befriend Nick Fenton, keep him safe. Oh, and don’t fall for the guy. Sounds easy.
Nick doesn’t know he’s an angel—the first ever born to human parents. He doesn’t know angels exist, or that people he trusts are angels tasked by the archangels to watch over him.
And he definitely doesn’t know his powers are about to make him the most wanted person on the planet. Henry knows all of it. He also knows Nick is his soul mate, which wasn’t in the briefing.
Now an ancient enemy is closing in and Nick’s abilities are spiraling out of control. Henry can’t tell him the truth—revealing what Nick is too soon could kill him.
But waiting too long will do the same. Only the archangel Uriel knows when Nick is ready, and Uriel has gone silent. If Henry gets it wrong, they both die.
