Thirty-eight weeks pregnant, Jenna Calloway calls Grant to tell him something is wrong, and her husband leaves a company event promising he is on his way home.
Tessa, the newly divorced colleague who has leaned on him for months, phones next, and Grant turns the car around even after Jenna warned that his constant availability was costing their marriage.
He had promised she would never have to compete with another woman when their family truly needed him.
By the time he reaches the hospital, their daughter has been born by emergency C-section, and a timestamped photo of him comforting Tessa shows that Jenna called first and he went back anyway.
Grant insists he never cheated, and Jenna believes him, yet being her husband is a privilege he has lost; if he wants another chance, he must break the habit of coming whenever Tessa calls and prove he can be trusted, with no promise she will take him back.
