Dog groomer Mindy Carson has vanished from a life that still looks untouched: she lives alone, her bed is perfectly made, her phone goes unanswered, and her car sits in the carpark long after she left work.
Ursula is the one who notices that car in the evening, and then the unmistakable smear of blood on the window.
At Mindy’s home on the outskirts of town, police find everything apparently in order until red lights expose cameras fixed on her bedroom and her most private moments.
They start to question whether Ursula is concealing what she knows, including her husband’s secret messages to Mindy, who was watching through those cameras, and whether the local teenager who had been making Mindy’s life hell was the last person to see her.
A young woman’s body is found in a local park, and another missing-person report makes it plain that Mindy may not be the only one under watch.
The danger is no longer limited to one disappearance, and the police may already be too late.
