Four years after losing her wife, Annie, Mo Reeves has let grief shrink her once-thriving career and the relationships around her.
Friends press her to visit Annie's beloved hiking trail in Redwood National Park, and she agrees mainly to ease their worry.
Aspen Anderson knows the trails and visitors of her small town, pouring drinks at night and guiding backpackers by day beneath the redwood canopy, yet that steady life has begun to feel confining.
After Mo explains why she came, Aspen suggests a trip down Redwood Creek, offering Mo a final chance to reach toward Annie's memory.
As the two women head deeper into the wilderness, their unexpected chemistry makes healing—and the possibility of love—far less predictable than either planned.
