Now I’m planting pollinator gardens I invented on the spot while he drizzles wild honey over everything he cooks and looks at me like I’m trouble he wants to taste. ??
The longer I stay — swallowing his honey, feeling his hands, watching spring crack this mountain wide open — the harder it gets to remember I came here to observe. Not to stay.
