I needed a temporary home.
Keegan gave me a permanent one . . .
After a pipe burst in my home, I need somewhere for me and my three-year-old son to lay our heads, but it’s hard for me to accept help . . . Especially from Keegan Slater.
Not only is he the finest man I’ve ever laid eyes on, but he’s also my boss. And not just my boss, but he owns the tech company I work for.
He’s also a bully. A bit touched in the head. And he doesn’t take no for an answer.
So, when he finds out we need a place to stay, he insists I move in with him.
Our sons are already inseparable, and Keegan and I are already friendly with each other, so what’s the worst that can happen?
Let’s just say I find out really quickly what it means to have a man who doesn’t play about me. I get to experience what it’s like to have a man look at me like his heartbeat lives inside my eyes.
And all at once I realize that home was never a place. Maybe . . . just maybe, it was a person. Maybe, it was him.
