Elizabeth Bennet has already rejected Fitzwilliam Darcy’s proposal and come to regret it—if only because she cannot seem to escape him.
Jumping at the chance to travel with her aunt and uncle to Derbyshire, Elizabeth removes herself from the pressures of Longbourn for the summer. When their tour takes them to Pemberley, their timing throws Miss Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy together once again. Worse, he is all politeness, the most amiable gentlemen, and this does nothing but introduce more angst and temptation. If anyone knew she had refused his offer of marriage, she would be as humiliated as she already feels.
