Penny: The last thing I remember is explosions and then poof… the freighter full of people I was responsible for was nothing but space rubble.
I don’t even know how long it’s been… I woke up and I was surrounded by aliens shouting in languages I didn’t understand and before I knew it, I was being thrown into an arena full of them.
As a human, all eyes are on me. Including his. I don’t know what he is, but he’s big, dark, and absolutely terrifying. I was supposed to be safe on the Nexus.
Now it looks like I’m about to die… or worse.

None of us are here by choice, but that doesn’t mean I’m not good at what I do. I was bred for this… literally. But then they introduced a human.
I could have ignored her and done what I always do, but alone, she won’t survive the first day. She’s fierce, I’ll give her that, but this isn’t her world.
