I thought owning my own place would mean I could dictate who could stay in my guest bedroom–especially who could be living in it. But it seems my father has other plans, and now, at twenty-seven, I have a roommate for the first time, and it’s not by choice.
Thankfully, Derek is a really cool guy, but the longer we spend together, the harder it is for me to keep a strict friendship between us. He says he’s straight, but the way he looks at me feels anything but platonic. It’s taking everything in me not to jump his bones.
But what would that do to our living situation and the friendship we’ve built? Things aren’t supposed to be this complicated, but I’m starting to wish the summer would never end.
