Billionaire vigilante Sebastian Thompson hunts monsters in the dark, and the secret society of serial killers he intends to destroy will only let him join if he has a girlfriend.
The only woman he trusts enough to take undercover is Stevie, a mortician who can barely stand him.
Used to staying cold and disconnected, she spends her days honoring the dead with dignity until bodies begin arriving in ways she cannot ignore.
When Sebastian offers a deal to pretend they are together so he can take the killers down, she agrees against her better judgment.
Their dislike ignites into a dangerous obsession that threatens their lives and the entire operation.
Pretending to be his girlfriend was supposed to stay a lie, but hunting monsters together makes the performance dangerously real.
