It was supposed to be an easy job: keep an eye on Myles until I’m sure he’s not a threat to us, then forget he exists and go back to living my life.
But the more I observe him, the more I realize that Myles is unlike anyone I’ve ever known, and toying with him is just as much fun as watching him. I want things from him I’ve never wanted before, and the more I watch him, the more I’m sure he wants them too.
He just doesn’t want to want them.
Then someone threatens his life, and instead of letting things play out, I step in and help him. That moment changes everything, and I vow to do everything I can to keep him safe, and make sure that whoever is after him pays for daring to touch him.
Watching Myles might have started out as a job, but now it’s an obsession. He’s the only person who’s ever made me feel anything, and once I set my sights on him, I’ll do whatever it takes to make him mine.
