The soldier is getting a pen pal whether he wants one or not. We trade jokes, secrets, ridiculous stories, and pieces of ourselves – things I never expected to share with a stranger.
Somewhere between mermaid legends, meddling islanders, military pranks, and increasingly personal confessions, our accidental friendship starts becoming something else. Then, Ben is injured overseas.
And he tries to shut me out. Ha! I’m not letting the man I’m falling for get rid of me that easily. But will showing up in his hospital room change our relationship forever?

Welcome back to Smuggler’s Hideaway, where the locals are nosy, the mermaids are questionable, and apparently even true love can arrive in the mail.
