My lying, cheating ex-husband who took me for everything I had except our dog. Most of all, I’m done with the snow and cold of Colorado. I only moved here for my ex, and I hate the snow.
So I pack up my bags, load my Husky into the car, and head home to visit my parents in Vegas. Only to slide off the mountain road in the middle of a blizzard.
Luckily for me, a lumberjack complete with flannel and beard comes to my rescue, though with his partially shaved head, he looks like a rock star.
A former professional hockey player turned homesteader, he takes me to his friend’s cabin, but no one’s home. He goes looking for his buddy, leaving me in the snug, cozy cabin.
I dose off… Only to wake up to a grumpy giant glaring at me. He’s furious to find an unwanted female guest in his home, especially when he finds out his friend dropped me off.
Evidently he thinks I’m a hockey groupie, even though I have no idea who he is. Talk about mistaken identity. I don’t know anything about the sport.
When yet another bearded man shows up for dinner, I wonder if I’ve stumbled into Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Only there’s just four lumberjacks. And me.
