I’m only here long enough to clean up my late grandfather’s roadside stand, open it for one last Fourth of July weekend, and sell the property before my heart gets tangled in the past.
That’s the plan.
Then the sign falls down and the cooler dies.
I’m about to call it quits when a sexy, older lumberjack stops by with nostalgia in his eyes.
Paul gets my stand fixed up in a jiffy, then rolls on down the road.
Now it’s the Fourth of July, and all I can think about is him.
Paul:
I remember the roadside stand from when I was a kid.
Old Henry ran Briar Patch Pies every Fourth of July for decades.
Blackberry pies. Cold lemonade. Flags on the fence. It was the kind of place that makes Red Oak Mountain feel like home.
But it’s been closed the last few years. When I see a brand new sign offering homemade blackberry pies, I swing in to take a look.
That’s when I spot a gorgeous gal running the stand. I take one look and fall hard for that woman.
Georgia’s on my mind. But she’s only here to sell the stand and go.
Can I convince her to stay on the mountain for good?
