Phoenix was Shay’s best friend for years before Shay ruined everything they had. Now Phoenix is back, and this time Shay can’t pretend. They’ve always been in love.
Both Phoenix and Shay were rescued from the same shipping container as kids. The Kapra Foundation gave them a home and an education, where they were raised side-by-side. While Phoenix has always known their true feelings toward each other, Shay lived his life in denial. Phoenix had to walk away to save himself. The last thing he expects when he leaves is for his new career to lead him straight back to Shay, or for him to realize that his feelings haven’t changed at all.
