But soon culinary calamities are the least of Mels worries.
Owing to a traveler in her ancestry, Mels taste buds sample not only fine cuisine but also auras, the life energy of her fellow humans. With Yvons aura being blander than a soda cracker, the man might well be dead. To make matters worse, Raoul, a beachcomber as charming as he is enigmatic, also lacks an aura.
Determined to suss out the mystery of the two dishy but flavorless males, Mel is left with way too many pots on the boil. A hidden treasure, a ruined castle, and historical atrocities are only some ingredients in a mystery otherwise laced with egotistic villains, determined specters-and masculine chests in frilly shirts.
